Bringing Community Together - Creating A Disc Golf Course In Golden, BC

Our 2018 landscaping season was capped off with a VERY exciting and important project. The town of Golden needed a local Disc Golf Course!

As avid fans of leisure recreation, we couldn’t wait to build a space for folks of all ages to share together. With course design and signage created by Larch Landscape Architecture, we set to work to make this dream come true.This work wasn’t without its challenges. With winter setting in quickly, we had to work efficiently to build the course. Working throughout October and into November, we were out in the rain and snow to make this happen to be enjoyed in the spring. Here’s what that looked like.

In spring 2019, the result of all that hard work has paid off. Now a thriving part of the community, Disc Golf Golden is alive and well. Just beside the Keith King Memorial Park, we’ve seen so many locals and visitors enjoying this course.

The Crux Initiative has been doing a great job with organizing tournaments and promoting the course. Discs can be found at Darkside in downtown Golden, BC. And for those wondering when a great time to go is, there is even a Wednesday meet up to meet fellow disc golf enthusiasts.
